This an autobiographical history of the USS Barb and its skipper, Eugene B. Fluckey. The Barb sank the greatest tonnage of any American sub in World War II and used the latest technological innovations to achieve that. Fluckey was fearless as a skipper and even used the Barb to ram a ship until it sank when it ran out of ammo.
