Lovely illuminated leaf from a French Book of Hours, circa 1250, featuring decorative page header text, one two-line initial, a decorative column divider, and 92 lines of microscopic gothic text in two columns.

This illuminated leaf is from a French Book of Hours, Use of Paris, circa 1250. The recto comprises 92 lines of gothic text divided into two columns. The text is in black with occasional red and black capitals. There is a two-line initial in blue with red filigree around it carrying into a column divider. The verso is quite similar.

Small marginal hole, edge detached from book somewhat ragged. Extremely good condition.
