Wonderful original World War II poster depicting many of the major aircraft used by the R.A.F. in World War II including the Hurricane, Spitfire, and may more.

This original 1942 poster features 10 detailed illustrations of R.A.F. planes used during World War II. "The RAF fought in every major theatre of the Second World War. Its most famous campaign was the Battle of Britain, when between July and September 1940, the RAF fought off a hugely superior German air force, denying the Luftwaffe air supremacy over southern England and therefore preventing the German invasion of Britain… During the Second World War, the RAF reached a total strength of 1,208,000 men and women, of whom 185,000 were aircrew. About 70,000 RAF personnel were killed" (BBC). De-accessioned by The Valentine Museum, Richmond, Virginia.
