Littlest Angel

Charles Tazewell

"I FIND THAT THIS SMALL BOX PLEASES ME MOST"

TAZEWELL, Charles. The Littlest Angel. Chicago: Childrens Press, (1946). Slim octavo, original pictorial paper boards, pictorial endpapers, original dust jacket. $350.

First edition of this beloved Christmas classic, illustrated by Katherine Evans.

Scriptwriter Tazewell wrote this engaging story in three days for actor Ronald Coleman to read on Columbia Radio's Christmas show, but the reading never took place. Following The Littlest Angel's first appearance in the December issue of Coronet, Helen Hayes became its perennial narrator at Christmastime, and Loretta Young recorded a version for Decca. Owner signature.

Book about-fine, dust jacket near-fine with a few pink marks to front panel and light wear and toning to extremities. A lovely copy.
