Twelve Days in May

Brian Cull

SIGNED BY FIVE BRITISH ACES

CULL, Brian; with LANDER, Bruce and WEISS, Heinrich. Twelve Days in May. London: Grub Street, (1995). Octavo, original red cloth, original dust jacket. $600.

First edition of this gripping history of the doomed air battle for northern France and the Low Countries, May 10-21, 1940, signed on a specially printed bookplate by the authors and five British aces.

The printed bookplate has been signed by Wing Commanders Joseph Robert Kayll (12 victories), Peter Lawrence Parrott (6), and Paul Caswell Powe Farnes (8) and by Squadron Leaders Kenneth North Thomas Lee (7) and Alfred Henry Basil Friendship (6-2/3). This history is largely told in the pilots' own words, as extracted from combat reports, squadron record books, published works and private interviews—from both the Allied and Axis perspectives.

Fine condition.
