Signed limited edition of this lavish and whimsical photographic homage to the Italian sausage, number 267 of only 500 copies, signed by Hans Gissinger, with his 58 color-printed images of various salamis.
Born in Switzerland, commercial photographer Hans Gissinger began producing experimental works after he moved to New York in 1994. Salamí features lavish full-color "portraits" of 58 cured meats gathered from salumerias across Milan. The text, by Gérard Oberlé, is in part in the style of Roland Barthes, a "Mythology of the sausage." Text in both French and English.
