Until the success of the Pooh books starting in the mid-twenties, Milne was probably best known as a playwright. Michael and Mary, a light comedic drama about marriage, was produced in 1930 and turned into a movie two years later. Bookplates, including recipient's bookplate.

Book fine, original dust jacket with tape repairs to verso, tears to rear panel. A very good copy.
