Felicia Hemans was admired by Byron, the Countess of Blessington, and other notables of the day. "Her poems are stamped with feminine qualities; they have singular grace and tenderness, and exhibit an ardent sympathy with chivalry in every form…" (DNB). "Her works were very popular, especially in America" (Drabble & Stringer, 257). With portrait frontispiece and engraved vignette title pages.
