First edition of Cuomo’s firsthand account of his successful 1982 New York gubernatorial campaign, inscribed by him on the half title, “Casper, Thank you for a gentle and intelligent discussion. I hope you enjoy! Mario.”

Elected as Governor of New York in 1982, Cuomo would go on to serve longer than all but two of his 51 predecessors (George Clinton and Nelson Rockefeller). This account of his successful campaign for the office won praise for being "philosophical, introspective, self-critical, generous to friends and enemies alike, statesmanlike without being impersonal, visionary and—no, not boring. Not boring at all" (New York Times).

Cuomo's inscription somewhat faded but still easily legible. Slightest sunning to extreme edges of boards. Dust jacket lightly rubbed, slight toning to flap edges. A near-fine inscribed copy.
