Original program for the sesquicentennial celebration of the Supreme Court of the United States, February 1, 1940, presentation copy, signed by all nine justices of the Court, additionally inscribed on the front wrapper by Justice Owen J. Roberts: "To Owen Roberts Hamilton from his affectionate grandad. 2/7/40."

This program commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Supreme Court. In addition to the engraved front wrapper, it also features a gilt and color seal, and a complete list of Chief and Associate Justices of the Court. The program is signed by the entirety of the Supreme Court in 1940, led by Chief Justice Hughes and filled out by Associate Justices McReynolds, Stone, Roberts, Black, Reed, Frankfurter, Douglas, and Murphy. Stone would ultimately succeed Hughes just one year later. Associate Justice Owen J. Roberts has also inscribed this copy to his grandson.
