On blue "Kate" stationery, to friend Meta Stern, thanking her for Christmas gifts. The stationery appears to be a gift from Irene Selznick, and has Hepburn's signature "Kate" printed at the top. The letter reads in full: "Dear Meta – Here's Irene Selznick's present – pretty elegant – what – You were so clever to send me that cookbook – We'd been dying to have a really top notch French cookbook – for fish & various vegetables – & yours looks thrilling – And Phyllis's apron – how damned thoughtful you are – you made us so happy – and then my rose arrived – Thank you – Happy New Year to you both – & all good things. Affectionately, Kate."
