AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED BY MARY WORDSWORTH

WORDSWORTH, Mary. Autograph Letter Signed. No place: no date. Three full pages, small octavo. $325.

Autograph letter signed by Mary Wordsworth, to the English poet Sir Henry Taylor, accepting an invitation to breakfast.

In addition to accepting the invitation to breakfast, Mary Wordsworth comments that "[Isabella] Fenwich had been greatly improved in health by the fine weather," and that "we have pretty often long drives in the carriage. She was so kind as to accompany us as far as Milnthorpe." She regrets to hear that Mrs. James Marshall is not yet recovered and in a postscript, she explains that her husband had not noticed the note which Taylor had written on the envelope of his own letter.

Small portion missing at the top of the center-fold, slightly affecting three words. Professionally repaired; otherwise in fine condition.
