Written by two of the seven original Mercury astronauts, Alan Shepard and Deke Slayton, Moon Shot was first published shortly after Slayton’s death in 1993. Shepard is distinguished as the first American to journey into space and as Commander of Apollo 14, the third expedition to walk on the moon. Slayton flew on the 1975 Apollo-Soyuz Russian-American link-up mission before continuing at NASA in flight crew operations and as manager of the space shuttle orbital test program. Co-authored with Jay Barbree and Howard Benedict. With an introduction by Neil Armstrong, along with 32 pages of photographic illustrations. Preceded by the 1994 first edition.

A fine copy.
